You’ve always wanted the very best for me

You taught me

Both of you

How to be a man

How to take a stand

How to walk tall even when some tried to make me feel like I was no one at all

How to fight for my rights even when I fall

How to get back up even when I had no chance at all

How to love and be loved

How to be true to myself and be happy when alone

To be just like you

The ocean

With great depths of kindness

To welcome the silence

But to fill the silence that you leave

With purpose

With good

With you
